Afro Star singer Jacob Obunga has joined the gospel music industry. The singer has announced on his social handles that on Friday 5th April 2024, he will be releasing his first gospel song titled Hafanani.
His move to join the gospel industry is a week later after receiving a backlash from fans at Raha Fest and Brian Chira’s funeral ceremony.
On the two occasions, fans booed him over clout, international artiste topic and stage performance criteria.

At Brian Chira’s burial performance, a section of social media users alleged he was using the death of the late to promote his song One Call and the anticipated “Grace” that was yet to be released.
However, he responded to critiques in one exclusive by saying his travel to attend and perform at Chira’s burial day was out of love and not clout.
In his sentiments, Otile alleged in his life, he had never chased clout to release a song and that his performance at the late Chira was a sign of gratitude to fans.

After the troll at Chira’s burrial, the singer was later booed on stage at Raha Fest something that he alleged his enemies hired people to attend the event and cite hatred on him.
Following the two trolls, the singer has announced his debut in gospel where he’s set to release Hafanani song tomorrow.
“#Hafanani dropping tomorrow.. first gospel song. Let me sing for the Lord, sang about many things but never sang for Him 😔 witness Him in my voice tomorrow.” He wrote.
