Kenya’s Afro star musician Otile Brown has responded to the allegations of chasing clout with TikToker Brian Chira’s death.

In an interview with digital journalists at Chira’s Githunguri, Kiambu County premises, Otile Brown said his performance at the burial was out of love.

The singer said he was not chasing clout with Chira’s death because at the beginning, he even never knew Chira.

In an interview with digital journalists at Chira's premises in Githunguri, Kiambu County, Otile Brown said his performance at Chira's burial ceremony was out of love.

According to Otile, it’s his fans who informed him about the late Chira and how the late loved his music.

“I don’t know even the guy, but the issue was brought to my attention by my fans when I was doing a live interview with a Tanzanian blogger on Instagram and from the comments, that’s when I knew the guy.

“After doing a little research about him, I realized he was a huge fan of my songs even on my YouTube, many comments are about him.” He disclosed.

He went ahead and emphasized that he never chases clout and rarely shows up at events like that of the late Chira. According to him, he didn’t want to fail his fans and those of Chira.

“I am not even involved but it’s just my people, so I went there to perform to show love not to chase clout and many know I rarely show up to such events. I am just the way I am.

“My car was even crushed because it was crazy and overwhelming, but I came prepared due to immense love and respect for my fans and the late. The comments are the ones that took me there.” He added.

Speaking about his song ‘One Call’, the singer said if he had chosen not to attend the burial and perform, still it could have gone viral.

Besides that, he revealed that his car got crushed at the time of performing the song but his immense love for the man couldn’t bar him from performing.

“Whether ningecome or singe come, song ingeendelea tu. It’s funny when people think I was chasing clout with the death of the guy.” He revealed.
