Kisumu Girls Students Jubilantly Welcome Their New Principal From Sironga Girls
Kisumu Girls High School students jubilantly celebrated as they welcomed their new Principal Eve Akeyo Odhiambo. As seen in a now viral video, the students sang the Mali Safi Chito hit on top of their lungs as Ms. Eve walked towards their Assembly.
Upon arriving next to them, Ms. Evaline calmly danced before making an unexpected move at their center. The overjoyed students didn’t hesitate but pushed each other as they scrambled to get a touch of their new head almost lifting her up.

This led to a happy fall of some as they exhibited joy they couldn’t contain.
Mideyah Digital has learnt that Ms Eve, now a Former Principal of Sironga Girls in Nyamira County, is taking over the mantle from Margaret Mechumo.
Mechumo on the other hand will be the new Principal of Chwele Girls High School in Bungoma as Jane Nyanumba becomes the new head of Sironga Girls.
In September 2023, Kisumu Girls Students became ungovernable citing corporal punishment and infringement of their right to worship and entertainment leading to the indefinite closure of the Institution.

The same happened in 2020 forcing the administration to act.
Judging on comments by netizens, Mideyah Digital notes the exceeding joy amongst Kisumu Girls Community as Sironga Girls where Ms. Eve was poached decry losing a performer.
