“Why Cut The Foreskin?”: Andrew Kibe Backs Raila’s Anti-Circumcision Remarks

"Why Cut The Foreskin?":Andrew Kibe Backs Raila's Anti-Circumcision

"Circumcision is a useless ritual. No need to cut a foreskin." Andrew Kibe says backing Raila's sentiments

Vlogger Andrew Kibe has backed former Prime Minister Raila Odinga over circumcision sentiments he made on Tuesday in Malaba.

During the Orange Democratic Movement recruitment of members in Western Kenya, Hon. Raila urged Luhyans to recruit members without considering circumcision tales.

According to the  former presidential candidate, circumcision in line with leadership limits one from vying for a political seat.

Circumcision is only a Kenyan Bantu thing. It is a trivial matter that came from religion. It was introduced in Kenya to the Bantus through religion.”

“Bantus in DRC do not circumcise the same as in Cameroon and South Africa. Anyone that takes circumcision seriously is a fool,” Raila said.
Hon. Raila settled on clearing the air after experiencing a lot of criticisms from Luhyas who have always been insisting that unless a man is circumcised, he is not worth a political seat.
Following his sentiments, US-based Kenya Vlogger Andrew Kibe has backed him by saying circumcision tradition should be done away with because it’s useless.
Why cut the foreskin? Circumcision is a useless ritual. No need to cut a foreskin. Some rituals should be done away with.” Andrew Kibe backs Raila.
Furthermore, Andrew Kibe has said men should just be left with their foreskins because the glans need to be protected.
Besides that, he claims there’s no benefit one gets from letting his innocent foreskin removed apart from traditional exposure to forcible torture.
In late December 2023, two old men from the Sabaot community in Mt. Elgon were nabbed and forcibly circumcised unwillingly.
This raised eyebrows on social media where a section of Kenyans claimed the participants did a bad thing to ambush the two old men over circumcision.
They alleged that rather than ambushing them, they could have approached them like parents and take them to the hospital  for the rite of passage.
