Pwani FM radio presenter Gates Mgenge has come out to plead with the government to ban x-rated images and video sharing platform Onlyfans or at least regulate it.

Gates Mgenge urged William Ruto’s government to do something about the prevalence of Onlyfans in Kenya because it is doing more harm than good to countless young ladies.

Speaking during his Mashav Mashav show on Pwani FM, the vocal radio host insisted that ladies who are making a killing on Onlyfans are misleading the younger generation.

Ban Onlyfans In Kenya

According to the radio presenter, ladies who have made it big on the platform make young girls believe that Onlyfans is the only easy way to make them rich.

Mgenge insisted that quite a number of young girls now believe sharing X-rated content on Onlyfans is the shortest way to becoming successful in life.

“Naomba serikali ya Dr William Ruto idhibiti mtandao wa Onlyfans. Hapo warembo wanapata shortcut ya kumake it kwa life kwa kuuza uchi wao huko tu.” Gate Mgenge said.

His sentiments were echoed by hundreds of his listeners who called in during his live radio show to either condemn the vice or call on the government to regulate Onlyfans platform in Kenya.

Decayed Societal Norms

Many agreed with the radio presenter and went on to even ask the government to completely ban Onlyfans in Kenya for the sake of protecting young girls in the country.

Others, however, had alternative views and aired them in a bid to defend Onlyfans models and the platform itself.

The group insisted that young girls choose to go the Onlyfans way to make a living since the Kenyan government has not created jobs for them.
