“Is Journalism For Failures?”: Shugaboy Laments As No Top Student Wants To Be Journalist

Radio Maisha Morning show Presenter Shuga Boy has voiced his concern on the recurring trend among KCSE and KCPE top students.
The funny radio co-host during his usual habit of perusing the newspaper, reveals he was slapped with a hurting bombshell that forced him to address while on air.
He notes with grief how top students who can loosely be termed as ‘successful’ choose other budding careers while intentionally ignoring journalism.

He further question grades journalists got as the ‘bad’ trend continues.
“Why is it that Kenyan top students want to pursue Medicine, Engineering, Pilot, Surgeon. Hakuna mmoja ashawahi fikiria journalism ama polisi. Kwani Redio ni ya watu ambao wamefeli? Kwani hii kazi ni ya failures? Sijawahi skia mtoto amepata A anahojiwa anasema ‘I want to go to KIMC to pursue journalism,”he states
His colleague Solomon Zully moved to support the top students as he claimed their colleagues who are journalist “look like failures”
