Kenyan rapper Kaligraph Jones has called out Katapilla over laziness in the music industry. In an interview with Mic Cheque Podcast, he stated that the singer is talented but ever lazy.
Khaligraph Jones argued that the only rapper he reveres in Kenya is Katapilla, but the singer rarely utilises his talent. He explained that the rapper is full of jokes in serious business.
The celebrated rapper expressed his anger at his fellow rapper’s actions in the entertainment industry and urged him to take his talent seriously.

“Sidhani kama kuna jamaa hii Kenya anaweza aka-rap kuliko Katapilla lakini mchezo ndiyo mwingi. Katapilla you’re lazy, una waste potential na umenikasirisha by the way. Wewe uko na talent na kama kuna jamaa huwa nimeaminia na skills ni Katapilla.” Khaligraph slammed the singer.
Khaligraph recounted that the singer made a million before he reached 30 years old. He revealed that the singer’s early breakthrough rarely happened to rising artists, but the singer was joking with his talent.
“He is lazy. A very lazy guy. Na kuna hata competition we had na Katapilla won Ksh.1M. Mimi sikuwahi gusa 1M mpaka nikafika karibu miaka 30. Jamaa alipata one million kama bado ni upcoming.” He added.

After hearing Khaligraph’s criticisms, he replied with a song dismissing the laziness allegations. The Ordinare hitmaker denied being lazy and pleaded with fans never to forget him.
“I hope I will never be forgotten. Mwisho nikirudi kwa matope, hope I’ll never be forgotten. ..I swear I’ll never be forgotten.” Katapilla stated.
