Harambee Stars To Face Pakistan, Djibouti, Mauritius In Friendlies
Kenya’s National Football team Harambee Stars is scheduled to play a four-nations tournament in Mauritius from June 8th to 10th th in Mauritius during the Fifa international break.
Football Kenya Federation (FKF) president Nick Mwendwa said the tournament would help the Harambee Stars Coach Engin Firat identify his boys’ strengths as he prepares the team for next year’s World Cup Qualifiers.
“We have just signed a contract to play in the 10-day four-nation tournament in Mauritius from June 8. And Engin Firat will be naming his squad soon to start preparation for the tournament. We also plan to play several high-profile friendly matches in Europe and the Middle East in near future to prepare our players well,”said Mwendwa.
Stars will face Mauritius, who will host the tournament. Other nations are Pakistan and Djibouti
“Despite being locked out of Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers due to the Fifa suspension last year, we want to make good use of the time we have to prepare a formidable side,” he added.
