Diamond Platnumz Confirms Lavalava’s Exit From Wasafi Label

Diamond Platnumz has confirmed Lavalava’s exit from the WCB-Wasafi music label. In a press conference with digital journalists on Wednesday afternoon, Platinumz said he initiated Lavalava’s exit from the label.
Platnumz revealed that he contacted Lavalava and asked whether he could work as an independent journalist and be supported.
According to Platnumz, Lavalava agreed and approved that he was in a position and ready to leave Wasafi. Upon his exit, Platnumz promised to support him financially to start his new journey as an independent artiste.

“Mdogo wangu Lavalava hajawahi kunivunjia heshima, tumeishi kwa kupendana na kujaliana kwa hali na mali. Kaja Lavalava nikamwambia mdogo wangu Lavalava ngoja nikuambie kitu kama upo tayari kwangu ni sawa na kama kaka yako nitakuwezesha kiasi flani cha pesa ili uweze kuanza kufanya project zako kama mchango wangu kwako mimi na wewe.” Platnumz revealed.
He further explained that he doesn’t argue with his artists unless they break the rules and guidelines as stated in the contract. The WCB- Wasafi boss revealed that he didn’t charge Lavalava since he was good and delivered his work well.
“Tumekaa wote mimi na Lavalava karibia miaka 8 na wasanii waelewe swala la mkataba sio issue ni kutokana na namna mlivyoishi ila kama wewe unajifanya unakiburi hapo lazima tuoneshane ubabe” He added.

Lavalava left Wasafi music label in early May to start work as an independent artiste. His exit came shortly after Mbosso announced his amicable exit from the famous music label.
