Joseph Ogidi, popularly known as Gidi Ogidi, has chided Sports analyst Fred Arocho for commenting negatively about his desire to vie for Gor Mahia Secretary General Elections.
Gidi said Arocho spoke ill of him in the presence of other people, explaining why he wasn’t’ fit to be Gor Mahia Secretary General in the past elections.
Among the many allegations, Gidi disputed Arocho’s allegations about him not being a footballer. Gidi said he was a footballer at Dandora Phase 4, but he dropped out of football to concentrate on education.

However, he said he doesn’t have any record of Arocho being a footballer apart from brags. He also lectured the former Radio Jambo sports analyst for being stubborn towards sports technicians and administrators in the country.
“The best Arocho can do for football in this country is to provide disco matanga sound kwa stadium and be an MC. Hii mambo ya kujigamba eti wewe ni former footballer, sasa you’re lecturing everybody here and there, achana nayo.
“We don’t have records of you being a footballer. Kama ni football, hata mimi nilicheza football. Enda Dandora upate records zangu na wewe hakuna history ya football ambayo tunaijua.” Gidi slammed.

Gidi said that since Arocho dropped out of school to concentrate on football, the best he can do for Kenyan sports is to provide a sound system in the stadium and be an emcee.
“Amehangaisha watu wa football hapa ooh sisi ndio legends, No! We don’t have your record of being a footballer. Wewe tulia ulete sound yako ya disco matanga, kuwa MC na unyamaze tafadhali.
“Watu wa ball ni akina Ghost na wengine, and football administration differs from technical administration, and finally, Arocho, I am an MBA holder, you are a school dropout,” Gidi added.
In the recent Gor Mahia technical management elections, Gidi withdrew from the race for the Secretary General position two days before the elections, citing circumstances beyond his control.
