Daddy Owen Opens Up Why He Has Kept His Children Off Social Media

Daddy Owen says he's the one who chose to be on the limelight/ courtesy.
Kenya’s sensational gospel artist, Daddy Owen, has highlighted why he has not posted his children on social media.
Speaking to Buzz Central Podcast, the gospel singer explained he chose to be in the limelight, not them. He said that children should be left to undergo stages of life rather than rushing them to a life they aren’t prepared for.
Daddy Owen said his children have their future and they would choose for themselves what to do. He also explained that fame comes with pressure, whether old or young.

“Fame is a monster. I also relate to the pastor’s kids. It’s the pastor who has been called, not the children, but judgment mostly falls on them. Society assumes that just because one is a pastor, his/her children should also live the same life as their parents.” Daddy Owen said.
The Vanity hitmaker clarified that although he doesn’t post his children on social media, he’s ever ready to support them in their career or where they need his support to become better people.
However, he admitted having friends in the limelight who post their children online, but he doesn’t want to influence their social life or copy them. According to him, some children experience bullying at school.

“I have many friends who put their kids on social media, but I find it hard to do the same because it feels like you’re choosing for them who they should be or become. Can you imagine your child becoming so famous and in school, they are not performing well, whether you like it or not, that thing will affect them.” The singer said as he shared plans of joining politics in 2027.
