“We Are Just Friends”: Daddy Owen Breaks Silence On His Relationship With Charlene Ruto
Daddy Owen has cleared the air on his relationship with Charlene Ruto. In a recent radio interview, the gospel singer distanced himself from dating stories surrounding him and the first daughter.
Daddy Owen revealed that all information published on social media about him and Charlene Ruto’s relationship is fake and social media users should distance themselves from them.
The Papa Folo hitmaker added that the only relationship that exists between him and Charlene is about economic development and youth empowerment in society.

“This is something I have been asked severally and I answered… anyone will want to fabricate things around it and people started doing that.
“But never did I ever mention something apart from what I have always said and also what she has kept on saying. I have always insisted that me and Charlene are just friends and she has been supporting most of my projects and I also do the same.” He said.
Further, he said that since he broke up with his wife after having a glamorous wedding, he doesn’t like sharing his personal or past relationship matters on social media.

However, the artiste alleged being single and more focused on his projects. Moreover, he argued that marriage is good and those who are ready for it, shouldn’t run away.
“Marriage is not something that I’m thinking about right now. It’s something that sifikirii. Si kitu kipo within my plans. Kuna vitu vingi nafikiria so I am not in the process of kuoa but marriage is a good thing.” He added.
Daddy Owen became the talk of the town when he took Charlene to his parents in Kakamega and shared some pictures showing Charlene bonding with his mother.

The pictures made online users allege the singer was dating the first daughter and that, he had gone to the extent of introducing her to his parents.
Besides that, he went viral last week after Charlene’s video went viral when she asked an American-Canadian televangelist Benny Hinn to pray for her to get a husband.
Her request made social media users allege the singer had failed her by not moving in with her.
