Dr. Ofweneke Reveals His Parents Split When He Was A Week Old
Dr. Ofweneke says he knew his mother when he was in Form Three/ courtesy.
Dr. Ofweneke, a radio host and TV presenter revealed that his parents split when he was a week old.
In an exclusive talk with Maskani 47, the cum comedian narrated that he was left on the stairs of the house when his mother and father went separate ways.
Dr. Ofweneke said he met his mother when he was in high school and she hugged him for almost 20 minutes as an expression of deep love.

“My parents separated when I was a week old and I came to meet my beloved mom when I was in form three. I will never forget that day. “ Dr. Ofweneke narrated.
He explained that his aunt and uncle took him to his mother a chef at Hillox Police Station in Nairobi and upon their meeting, he never knew her until the uncle and aunt introduced them.
“Tulipokuwa kwenye ofisi ya mkubwa wa the police station, my mom was called and when she came, the police officer asked her if she knew us. She took approximately three seconds and recognised my uncle and aunt.

“Then when she was asked about me, she said, ‘huyu simjui’ and my uncle and aunt introduced me to her. ‘Huyu ni mtoto wako wa kwanza.’ My mom hugged me for almost 20 minutes without letting me go. I was in shock.” He shared.
The media personality added that some years later, his mother died without forgiving each other and he was hurt since he never attended her funeral and never knew where she was buried.

“Number two was the pain that this woman died without me having forgiven her and her, actually knowing that I hadn’t forgiven her and three, I didn’t know where she was buried. “ He emotionally shared as he advised people to learn the art of forgiveness when wronged.
“When you have a chance to forgive, do it early because I grew up laying blame on my mom for the things I went through in her absentia.” He advised.
