Alex Mwakideu: I Spent Ksh.77K on Girlfriend and Got Nothing
Mwakideu revealed that his girlfriend dumped him after their first meet/ courtesy.
Alex Mwakideu, Radio 47 presenter recounted how he spent Ksh. 77,000 on his girlfriend and ended up getting nothing from her.
The breakfast radio presenter shared that in 2010 when at Radio Maisha, he dated a beautiful girl from a rich family from Nyali, Mombasa.
During dating, the girl seemed reluctant to accept his proposal citing she had a boyfriend working in Nairobi. However, the journalist pressed and won her heart.

Mwakideu narrated that since he had bought a Toyota Spacio car on loan from his colleague Mshamba, he requested a meetup with her.
“Alipoingia box, nilimwambia aje anitembelee lakini akaniambia ana boyfriend Nairobi. Kusikia hilo, nilimwambia nitamlipia ticket ya ndege, na kusikia hivyo, alikubali na akaja.” He confidently narrated.
When his girlfriend came to Nairobi, Mwakideu shared that he took her to a five-star hotel for a rest before they spent time after work.

Later after he finished work, he drove his Toyota Spacio car to a club, bought expensive drinks, food and invited his girlfriend for merry.
“Niliingia bar nikaitisha chakula pamoja na mzinga wa Ksh 19,000 nikaanza kuponda raha nikimsubiri binti atoke hotelini alipokuwa aje twendelee na starehe.
“Alipokuja, alikuwa amevaa kitu kinaitwa hotpant, oh, my goodness! Ndugu yangu mtoto alikuwa mrembo ajabu.

“Hapo, tulipiga whisky hapo na chakula hadi tukatekwa na pombe lakini yeye alitekwa zaidi na tukaamua kubadilisha maeneo ili twende chumbani.” He narrated.
However, at around 3 PM when they left the club to rest, the girlfriend refused to board the car since it allegedly belonged to the lower class people.
“Tulipofika eneo la maegesho nikamwambia aingie akatakaa. Hakuingia gari. Alisema ‘I can’t get into that car.’ I swear alichukua simu akampigia boyfriend yake…’babe come and pick me.’
“Bro, Babe wake alikuja na Range Rover ya White akamchukua na wakaenda huku nikiangalia na ashalewa pombe yangu. Sijawahi kumwona mpaka leo na nilimlipia nauli ya ndege, chumba cha kulala hotelini kwa siku mbili, vinywaji na chakula.” The vocal radio host recounted.
