Ronald Araujo Extends His Stay At Barcelona Until 2031
FC Barcelona’s defender Ronald Araujo has committed his future to Barcelona by signing a contract extension that will see him stay at the club until 2031.
Araujo joined Barcelona in 2018 from the Uruguayan club Boston River and has since become a crucial part of the team’s defense.
Taking to Instagram, he shared his excitement after putting pen to paper on the new deal and expressed his gratitude to the club and fans for their immense support since his arrival.

“Very happy with the renewal at FC Barcelona. Feeling very grateful to the club and the fans for everything they have given me on and off the court since I arrived in 2018. We will keep fighting together to make this story bigger. Let’s go Barca! 2031,” he wrote.
The deal was completed on Thursday, with the Uruguayan player signing the contract at a formal event attended by the club’s President Joan Laporta.
Since making his debut for Barcelona, the 25-year-old defender has made 155 appearances with a contribution of eight goals and six assists.
