Janet Mbugua Joins Nation Media Group Eight Years After Leaving Citizen TV

Celebrated media personality Janet Mbugua has made a remarkable return to the newsroom by joining Nation Media Group (NMG) eight years after leaving Citizen TV.

 

Janet who left mainstream media in 2017 is set to take on a prominent role at NTV. She previously worked as a prime-time news anchor alongside Hussein Mohamed.

 

The announcement was made by the Group’s Head of Broadcasting, Simaloi Dajom, who warmly welcomed her to the media group. She praised her work stating that she is highly skilled in engaging audiences.

“I am excited to inform you that renowned media personality, Janet Mbugua has joined Nation Media Group. Janet is highly skilled in engaging audiences on TV, Radio and Digital media.

 

“Please join me in extending a warm NMG welcome to Janet. Let us provide her with the support she needs to settle and thrive in her role as we drive our shared vision of Positively Influencing Society,” Dajom noted.

 

During her time away from the newsroom, the TV anchor focused on content creation and running her Inua Dada Foundation, which champions menstrual health and gender equality.

She has also been a sought-after public speaker and author, further cementing her influence beyond the newsroom.
