Zari Hassan Sets Her Record Straight on Plan to Get a Second Husband
Zari Hassan, Uganda’s businesswoman, has clarified her previous comment on attempting polyandry a marriage of a woman marrying two or more men at the same time.
Zari explained that her comment came from the bill that was in South Africa’s Parliament; which aimed at permitting women a right to marry two or more husbands.
In a viral clip that surfaced online in 2024, Zari told her husband Shakib that if he eyes on other women, he must also be aware that in South Africa, she’s allowed to marry two or more husbands.

“Do not play with me, baby. I will get married to another guy. Then I can keep two husbands. Do you know why? In South Africa, we are allowed to have two husbands. It is a new South African law, it was passed in Parliament. We can have two husbands.” She told Shakib.
Although the bill was not passed; in a recent interview with Kalondu Musyimi, the mother of five clarified that her husband should know that he married a funny woman.
” It was not something that I took out of my context. It was a parliament thing that was happening in South Africa. If it could have been passed, women could have been happy.

” Personally, I can’t deal with two men. It is just so much work. My husband should understand that he married a weird or funny wife. “ Zari clarified laughingly.
Further, she shared that she’s proud of him, especially when he bonds, interacts, and plays a fatherly role in the lives of her five children.
