Neymar Hints at Reunion With Messi And Suarez, Says 2026 World Cup Will Be His Last

Brazil forward Neymar Jr has sparked speculation about a possible reunion with former Barcelona teammates, Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez, suggesting the trio could team up once again.

Neymar, Messi and Suarez formed a formidable attacking trio at Barcelona, dominating for three seasons until Neymar’s record-breaking move to PSG in 2017.

Speaking to CNN’s Amanda Davies, the 32-year-old soccer star stated that they are still good friends and still keep in touch. He noted that the world of football is full of surprises and anything can happen in the future.

“Obviously, playing again with Messi and Suarez would be incredible. They are my friends, we still speak to each other. It would be interesting to revive this trio. I’m happy at Al Hilal. I’m happy in Saudi Arabia but who knows, football is full of surprises,” he stated.

Neymar also confirmed that the 2026 FIFA World Cup will mark the end of his international career. He holds the record as Brazil’s all-time leading scorer with 79 goals.

“I will try. I want to be there. I know this will be my last World Cup, my last shot, my last chance and I will do everything I can to play in it,” he noted.
