Portuguese legendary striker Cristiano Ronaldo is no doubt one of the Greatest players to ever step into football pitch. Cristiano who turned 39 years on 5th of February, has experienced a successful career where he has set some incredible records.

This has seen Ronaldo have one of the longest playing career as compared to many of his teammates who retired long time ago at their early 30s. During Globe Soccer Awards held in Dubai on January 2024, Cristiano Ronaldo addressed questions about his retirement and jokingly said he has another 10 years to play, “The moment I feel I’m done, I’ll retire… maybe in 10 years”

1. Cristiano Ronaldo is only player to score in five World Cups

Despite not winning the World cup trophy, Ronaldo is the only player to have scored in five different World cups. The Portugal captain made his world cup debut in 2006 FIFA World Cup held in Germany scoring 1 goal in Group D match against Iran.

Cristiano went on to participate in 4 more world cups for Portugal scoring in each of them with the recent 2022 Qatar World cup saw his national side eliminated in the round of 16 by the Atlas Lions of Morocco.

2. He is the only player to win every trophy with two different clubs

Cristiano Ronaldo’s trophy cabinet is nothing but full of trophies making him the only player to win every possible trophy with two different clubs. Ronaldo has won domestic leagues, domestic trophies, UEFA Champions League titles, FIFA Club World cups with both Manchester United and Spanish giants Real Madrid.

The Portuguese veteran striker holds the record as the player with most appearances for his national side in men’s international football with 205 appearances.

4. Most international goals

With him holding the record of most capped international men’s player, Ronaldo also boasts a record with the most international goals for Portugal where he has scored a total of 128 goals among them 8 goals in the FIFA World Cup.

5. Cristiano Ronaldo is the only player to score 50+ goals in 6 Consecutive Seasons

After joining the Spanish giants Real Madrid from Manchester United in 2009, Ronaldo started impressing in his second season at Santiago Bernabeu where he went to score 50 plus goals in six consecutive seasons in all competitions.

Where in 2010/11 season he scored 53 goals, 2011/12 season he scored 60 goals, 2012/13 season he scored 55 goals, 2013/14 season he scored 51 goals, 2014/15 season he scored 61 goals and in 2015/2016 he scored 51 goals.

6. Most UEFA Champions League goals

As Cristiano Ronaldo holds record as the player with the most goals in football history, he has also topped charts in European competitions when he played for Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus where he has scored a total of 141 Champions league goals.
