Pastor Kidnaps self Twice Gets Ransom from Congregants. 

Plateau State police have arrested pastor Albarka Sukuya for allegedly kidnapping self and collecting ransom from church congregants.

The clergy who has been working alongside three other men to stage his kidnap, last week set ablaze two vehicles belonging to his senior clergies claiming of hatred bestowed to him by one senior pastor.

Confirming the arrest, Plateau State; Public Relations Officer, DSP Alfred Alabo, has said: “The Plateau State Police Command has again uncovered the nefarious act of one Pastor Albarka Bitrus Sukuya of Jenta Apata, Jos, who on several occasions staged his kidnap with his cohorts and received ransom from sympathizing members of his congregation.”

Sukuya who is accused of mischief, self-kidnapping and conspiracy, it is the second time he has self-kidnapped and collected ransom from kindhearted church members, via the aid of his gang.

Additionally, Mr Alabo asserts, “Sequel to his spurious kidnaps of 14/11/2022 and 30/11/2022 where N400,000 and N200,000 were respectively paid by his sympathisers as ransom for his release, the incidents triggered suspicion.

“Through credible intelligence, the clergyman was invited by the DPO Nassarawa Gwong Police Station, CSP Musa Hassan, and the investigation commenced immediately.

“In the course of the investigation, it was established that the suspect has been conspiring with his gang to stage his kidnap and fraudulently collecting the ransom.

However, according to Mr Alabo, the police operations have managed to arrest the Nigerians; Nathaniel Bitrus and Baruk Mailale, who through thorough interrogation, the Sukuya mentioned.
