A hilarious old story of an Indonesian man marrying a rice cooker has left netizens cracking ribs on social media. Khoirul Anam, 31, married a rice cooker in 2021 and divorced it four days later.
In the story, the Indonesian man claimed the rice cooker only knew how to prepare rice and not something else. He expected to see it preparing other things like green vegetables but realised it couldn’t prepare them.
In a colourful wedding shared online, the man was captured dressed in traditional attire alongside the rice cooker covered with a translucent veil and in a separate picture, he was captured signing marriage documents.

Besides that, the man was also captured kissing the rice cooker which he captioned as why he married it:
“White, silent, obedient. Don’t talk much, good at cooking.. very ideal😊… It’s warm again… without you, my rice is not cooked😀.”
However, it was reported that four days after the colourful traditional wedding, he divorced the rice cooker over several issues including its failure to prepare other meals apart from rice.
“My decision is unanimous. .it’s hard.. but this is the path I take.. there is no perfect partner.” Khoruil shared on Facebook why he divorced the rice cooker.
Since he divorced his rice cooker in September 2021, it’s reported that Khoirul Anam has yet to marry. In his social media handles, he creates and shares bizarre content with his fans as part of entertainment.
