Eric Omondi has showcased the ongoing rescue efforts led by himself and others.

Renowned Kenyan comedian turned activist Eric Omondi  has voiced his disappointment with the government’s lack of action in assisting Nairobi residents affected by floods.

As heavy rains continue to cause floods in various parts of the country, numerous individuals have been displaced, and tragic loss of life has been reported. Omondi urgently calls on the government to prioritize the rescue of residents stranded along the Athi River before it’s too late.

Eric Omondi has taken to  his Instagram  page to express his frustration with the government’s silence towards helping victims of floods.

“The government of Kenya should rush to Mangeli, Athi River before it’s too late. Disaster is about to strike. There are families stuck on rooftops, and time is ticking,” warns Eric Omondi, 

“We have saved 34 people today from 8:30 am to 11:00 am, and there are still hundreds stuck with children, and disaster could strike anytime.”

Omondi has showcased the ongoing rescue efforts led by himself and others, highlighting the urgency of the situation. While lives hang in the balance, Omondi points out the government’s misplaced priorities, with discussions focused on presidential time limits and the appointment of CAs.

“Last night, we saved a woman and her three children in Ruiru’s OJ region. Our priorities are upside down. This government only cares for itself. Now they’re discussing presidential time limits and the appointment of CAs while people are dying.”

Eric Omondi’s videos on Instagram depict the circumstances faced by those affected by the floods, urging the government to take immediate action.
