Get To Know: The Minimum Premier League Salary and 10 Least Paid Players in EPL

With English Premier League being regarded as the best football league in the world, it is also the best paying league with the players participating in the league earns handsomely at the end of every month. Apart from being the most popular league it is also the most competitive football league in the world having 20 clubs participating in every season.

It is in the books, Erling Haaland, Mohamed Salah, Marcus Rashford and Kevin de Bruyne are among the top earners in their respective clubs in the Premier League. In this article, we will look at 10 players who earns the lowest salaries in the Premier League.

With players getting paid weekly in every Friday of the week, here is the list of least paid players in the Premier League.

10.Loris Karius – $12,707 (Ksh. 1,740,859)- Newcastle United

The Germany international started his professional football at Mainz 05 in 2012 before moving to Liverpool 2016 for two years stint where he moved to Turkish side Beskitas in 2018. He currently plays for the Tyneside giants Newcastle United as third choice goalkeeper. He takes home a whopping Ksh. 1.7 million every week.

9.Tommy Doyle – $12,707 (Ksh. 1,740,859)- Wolverhampton

The Manchester City academy graduate plays for Wolves as central midfielder on a season long at the club since September 1st in 2023. The 22-year-old England international bags Ksh. 1.7 million weekly.

8. George Baldock – $12,707 (Ksh. 1,740,859)- Sheffield United

The 31-year-old English Right back joined Sheffield United in July 2017 helping the club earn promotion into the most loved league, English Premier League in the 2022/23 season despite the club registering poor results with a potential of getting relegated at the end of the current season. However, Badlock walks away with Ksh. 1.7 million per week in terms of salary.

7. Max Lowe $12,707 (Ksh. 1,740,859)- Sheffield United

The Derby County academy graduate product had his career skyrocketed when he moved to Scottish side Aberdeen for two short term stints before joining Nottingham Forest for season long in 2021/22 season where he returned to Sheffield United. The English left back earns a salary of Ksh. 1.7 million every Friday.

6. Kourtney Hause – $10,258 (Ksh. 1,405,346)- Aston Villa

The 29-year-old defender plays as a Centre-back or left-back where he plays for Aston Villa. He was a regular for both England U20 and England U21 sides and played in Gareth Southgate’s victorious 2016 Toulon Tournament side. Hause takes home a whopping salary of Ksh. 1.3 million every week.

5. Pelly Mpanzu – $9,525 (Ksh. 1,304,925)- Luton Town

The Democratic Republic of Congo international made history as the first player to climb from the non-league tiers of English football to the Premier League with the same club, having played for Luton Town since 2013. The 29-year-old central midfielder takes home a salary of Ksh. 1.3 million a week.

4. James Shea – $9,525 (Ksh. 1,304,925)- Luton Town

The 32-year-old goalkeeper started his goalkeeper career at Arsenal where he joined Arsenal’s youth team in August 2007. In 2009, he won both the Premier Academy League and FA Youth Cup before moving to Wimbledon and Southampton. On 3 July 2017, Shea joined Luton Town till date where he walks away with Ksh. 1.3 million weekly as salary.

3. Jordan Clark – $6,351 (Ksh. 870,087)- Luton Town

He is the English professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for newly promoted side Luton Town. Before signing for the Hatters Clark played for Barnsley, Shrewsbury Town, and where he holds the record of most appearances as well as most goals at Accrington Stanley. He takes home a salary of Ksh. 870, 087 every Friday.

2. Rhys Norrington-Davies – $5,080 (Ksh. 695,960)

Rhys Davies plays is a Welsh international who plays as a left-back for Premier League side Sheffield United and the Wales national team. He once spent his childhood in Kenya before moving to London. Tehe 24-year-old midfielder is currently on loan at Stoke City from Sheffield United and he earns a salary of Ksh. 695,960 every week.

1. Alex Mighten – $4,397 (Ksh. 602,389)

Mighten plays as a winger for EFL League One club Port Vale, on loan from Nottingham Forest. Born in the United States however he represented England at youth international level. The 2002 born star earns a salary of Ksh. 602,389 per week.
