The number one England goalkeeper tops the list of goalkeepers with most clean sheets so far this season despite his club Everton fighting the League’s relegation battle after they were slapped with a 10-point deduction in November last year after being found guilty of breaching the FFP rules. Pickford has kept the eight clean sheets against AFC Bournemouth (3-0), West Ham United (1-0), Aston Villa (0-0), and Fulham (0-0), Nottingham Forest (1-0), Newcastle United (3-0), Chelsea (2-0), and Burnley (2-0). The Spanish goalkeeper was signed by Arsenal on loan in the summer from Brentford where he has impressed at Emirates stadium since making his debut to bench English goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale. Raya kept his 8th clean sheet of the season as the Gunners defeated Burnley 5-0 moving to the second place with 55 points in the Premier League table. The Cameroonian goalkeeper has experienced a hard start at Old Trafford after conceding many goals at the beginning of the season. The 27-year-old goalkeeper signed for Manchester United in the summer from Serie A giants Inter Milan. Onana is tied for third place with Liverpool and Brazilian shot-stopper Alisson Becker, recording 7 clean sheets so far, this season. He has achieved them against Burnley (1-0), Everton (3-0), Fulham (1-0), Luton (1-0), Wolves (1-0), Liverpool (0-0) and West Ham United (3-0). He failed to keep his 8th clean sheet of the season last weekend in a 2-1 win against Luton Town at Kenilworth Road Stadium.
4. ALISSON BECKER (7)
The Brazilian goalkeeper missed out the golden glove last season after falling short of three clean sheets to match David De Gea’s (17) who won the award. Alisson Becker’s chase for the Golden glove this season could not materialize as the Brazilian goalkeeper suffered a hamstring injury on Friday during training ahead of their trip to Brentford last weekend and he will be out for unknown period. Becker’s 7 clean sheets were achieved against Nottingham Forest (3-0), Burnley (2-0), Aston Villa (3-0), Everton (2-0), Brentford (3-0), Manchester United (0-0) and Bournemouth (4-0).
