Ogopa Wanawake! Pastor Ephantus Finally Reveals The Real Reason Why Papa Shirandula Actress Kawira Divorced Him
Pastor Ephantus Safari has opened up about the reasons behind his marriage dissolution with former Papa Shirandula actress Joy Kawira after six years together.
In an interview with Massawe Japanni, Safari shared insights into the breakdown of their relationship.
“The last time she claimed that you were very violent to her?” Massawe initiated the conversation.
Safari responded, suggesting that his ex-wife may have portrayed him as abusive to justify her actions. “Maybe she was just looking for a point to justify her actions because we lived very well, and later she was the one who left without disclosing why,” he explained.

He attributed the main cause of their marriage failure to Kawira’s insistence on living with his mother.
“She really wanted to live with her mother. When I married her, she was living with her mother. I took her, and we started living together. After a while, the mother came and started living with us,” Safari elaborated, highlighting the strain this dynamic placed on their relationship.
“After a while, the mother came and started living with us to which I advised that we rent a separate house for the mother-in-law. But after a while, she again looked for another house and they started staying together again,” he explained.
According to Safari, efforts to address the living arrangements, including suggesting renting a separate house for his mother-in-law, proved futile as Kawira eventually opted to live with her mother again.
Expressing his dismay over being estranged from his children for nearly three years, Safari revealed his attempts to maintain communication and support them financially despite Kawira’s lack of response to his calls and messages.
In his pursuit to gain access to his children, Safari disclosed his intention to seek legal recourse through a lawyer, signaling his determination to resolve the matter through official channels.
The couple’s paths initially crossed in 2013 during an event Safari was organizing at St. Andrew’s. They tied the knot in 2014 in a vibrant ceremony.

“I support her and I even call her but she doesn’t answer even when I send messages. But I sent money because I don’t want my kids to suffer even though I have not seen them for three years,” he added.
On her part, Kawira revealed in an interview with Hiram Maina on the Papa Shirandula show that she separated from Safari two years ago, emphasizing her decision to prioritize personal peace by ending the relationship.
Reflecting on the significance of her departure date, Kawira remarked, “That is a woman for you,” suggesting the emotional weight attached to such decisions.
While acknowledging the healing process, Kawira advised individuals to thoroughly understand their partners before committing to marriage, emphasizing the importance of prioritizing personal well-being when faced with relationship uncertainties.
