Erling Haaland Names His Dream 5-A-Side Team As He Snubs Kylian Mbappe
Manchester City and Norway striker Erling Haaland has selected his 5-A-Side squad. The Norwegian forward was out for a month with an injury and made his full return to action last weekend in a 3-1 win against Brentford where he played 86 minutes before coming off for Mateo Kovacic.
It is no doubt that Haaland is one of the best clinical strikers in the world right now. The Norwegian man made his move from Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund to Manchester City and in his first season, Haaland won the Premier League Golden Boot after netting 36 goals in 37 appearances.
He went on to be named Premier League Player of the Season as well as Premier League Young Player of the Season.
In a recent interview with Official Manchester Podcast, Haaland was asked to name his 5-A-Aside team where he named two of the Greatest players of all time in his dream team. The Norway international named both Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi in his dream 5-A-side team.

Revealing the 5 players he chose, Haaland selected Spain and Real Madrid’s legendary goalkeeper Iker Casillas between the posts and in defense he went with Italy and AC Milan’s legendary defender Paulo Maldini where in the midfield he chose the skillful Brazilin legend Ronaldinho while in the attacking line he chose two great players who defines the modern-day football, five-time Ballon d’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo and World cup winner Lionel Messi.
“I think I need to take a couple of Brazilians then.” “I would like to see Ronaldinho, Messi, Cristiano, [Paolo] Maldini to be back there, then I need a ‘keeper, no? I would take [Iker] Casillas.” Haaland Said.
