“Gone Broke?”: KRG Speaks On Why He Closed His Ngong Road Club
Artist KRG The Don has been forced to close his well-known club Casavera Lounge located along Ngong Road in Kenya’s capital. The singer while speaking to the media, said his club will be closed for two months before resuming its usual activities in April after putting some things in place.The dancehall artist said the reason he has closed his well-known club is to carry out some renovations, beef security and also improve the sanity of the environment.

“Today is the official date of closing Casevera Lounge. I know this is some bad news to people who work here and even our customers and my fans who have supported me for days.”
“We are just informing the public that from today we will not be operating until further notice, but we are not closing down permanently. We are closing because we want to improve our services and I know it pains me and everyone who gets their daily bread here,” Krg said.
Stephen Karuga popularly Krg The Don, further revealed that the National Environmental Management Authority (NEMA) had raised some stern warnings to him over noise pollution brought about by the music played at the club.

He claimed the club neighbours had raised complaints over it and also the security around the club needed to be tightened to ensure clients and neighbours consume the services offered by Casavera Lounge.
“We have been receiving complaints from our neighbours that we are making noise for them and because I’m a respectful person, I have to listen. So, Nema said we are making noise for the people so we are going to make sure we soundproof here,” he said.
However, he assured clients that by April, everything will be in place ranging from sanitisation, noise, renovations of the building and security.
