Nonini, a US-based Kenyan musician has defended himself after netizens attacked him over lies in terms of Mgenge 2ru sneaker’s market. Kenyans have bashed him after being spotted wearing American sports sneakers Nike rather than donning his Mgenge 2ru sneakers.

On his X post, Hurbart Nakire popularly Nonini shared a post-marketing his shoes Mgenge 2ru when a section of fans fumed over his betrayality to self-production services.

Furious Kenyans claimed if Nonini himself can’t believe in his sneakers, how would he convince fans that his products are legit?

Besides the one post, X detectives went further and unearthed other posts where the Furahiday crooner was donning Nike sneakers rather than his.

They alleged the rapper was busy killing his brand and betraying fans rather than building it and expanding Mgenge 2ru brand.

Rather than staying murmur over the allegations, he defended himself by saying he had done Nike sneakers to market his only remaining Mgenge 2ru sneakers.

The singer launched his Mgenge 2ru sneakers in 2021 by alleging they are made in Italy and a few like hoodies and caps are made in Kenya.

During the launch, the Kenyan rapper said his Mgenge 2ru products are purely original as noted from even their prices.

“I have always been a fashion guy and prefer promoting Kenyan brands. I’ve just reinvented what I’ve been doing and taking it seriously as my career.” He said.
