Atheists Kenya (AK) have urged Kenyans to embrace contractual relationships to reduce the cases of divorce, sexual assaults and domestic abuse.
In a statement released on Tuesday, 16th January 2024; the atheists said contractual relationships reduce cases of valueless bonds and attachments among partners.
According to Atheists; marriage vows before knowing a person inside out are one’s resulting in premature deaths amongst Gen Z.

“We encourage Kenyans to embrace renewable marriage contracts lasting two years that
lay out the marital duties (housekeeping, finances, childcare, shows of affection, etc.) for
each party” the statement reads in part.
The Atheists Kenya claim each partner will commit self to the contract for two years and therein, they may decide to renew it or dissolve it.
The Atheists Kenya further said couples need to rethink wedding vows and bring out changes before staying committed in abusive marriages.

“Rather than staying in marriages ‘until death’, renewable marriages would allow partners
to tweak their marital contract accordingly, or agree that it’s beyond tweaking and ending it.
“And if brides- and grooms-to-be truly want a happy marriage, then it is time for them to take responsibility for defining their goals and expectations in a renewable
marriage contract.” The statement reads.
AK has released the statement upon the surge of uncountable cases of deaths, domestic violence and divorce among the old generation and Generation Z.

Off-late, the media has reported heartrending cases of Gen Z dying by suicide, others hacked to death and a few left toothless.
Following death reports among lovers, they advise partners to opt for renewable love relationships or marriage.
