Pupil Die By Suicide After Being Detained In School Over Fee Balance
Shock gripped residents of Mahumu village in Lukakamwa sub county Kaliro district after their neighbor died by suicide over chicken.
The deceased, Mulolo Franco George, 27 allegedly returned home on Friday night with the urge of eating chicken but found his wife Nabirye Namugere dead asleep.
He allegedly woke her up ordering her to slaughter the chicken and when she refused, the distraught Mulola started a quarrel with every member of the household including his own mother.

Out of anger, he picked up a rope and rushed to the nearby bush where he hanged himself on the mango tree.
“His relatives together with wife looked for him throughout the night, but couldn’t find him until the following morning at 8 o’clock when he was found in the bush hanging on a tree”, Uganda Police spokesperson Fred Enanga said.

‘These are a simple things that can easily be resolved rather than ending your life. If your wife refused to slaughter the hen, do it yourself or go to the trading center and order for chicken eat it and then go back home. I think some of these people are possessed in one-way or another” Enanga added.
