Swaleh Mdoe Loses Laptop, Hilariously Threatens Thieves on Air

Citizen TV anchor Swaleh Mdoe broke his silence after thieves stole his expensive laptop, hard drive and other things, including his bag.
Speaking after Monday evening’s Swahili news bulletin, the anchor fired a threatening message to thieves by sharing a story of a carpenter who lost his furniture to thieves and later got them.
Swaleh Mdoe said that after thieves stole furniture from Mr. Omari’s shop, Mr Omari asked them to return, but they didn’t. After the third day, Mr Omari went to the public and issued a statement, which made the thieves return all the stolen furniture to the shop.

Swaleh Mdoe said that Mr Omari made the thieves walk with what they had stolen on their heads as the public watched. According to Mdoe, the thieves walked with seats, tables and beds on their heads until Mr Omari separated them.
“Bwana Omari alikuwa fundi wa samani, akitengeneza na kuunda samani kando ya barabara. Fujo zilipotokea, wakaja watu wakabeba makochi, viti, vitanda. Bw Omari akapiga mbiu ‘jamani eee, aliyechukua vitu pale dukani kwangu avirudishe!’ Hakuna aliyefganya hivyo siku ya kwanza, ya pili na ya tatu.
“Bwana Omari akaenda kuwasomea kiapo. Haikupita muda, kila aliyekuwa amechukua kitanda, kiti, kochi, alivibeba akavirejesha kwa Bwana Omari. Akifika, hakitoki kichwani. Wanazunguka navyo tu pale pale kwa Bw Omari mpaka alipowafungua ndipo wakaviweka chini. ” Swaleh Mdoe narrated.

Relating to Mr Omari’s incident, Swaleh Mdoe threatened thieves who stole his laptop and other things to return before the wrath. He noted that he was aware they had sold the laptop, but told them to return the hard drive and other things that were in the bag before implementing Mr Omari’s punishment.
“Mimi kama bwana Omari, walioiba mkoba wangu wenye kipatakilishi, ndani kuna hard drive na stakabadhi nyingine, kama ni waelewa, watafute vile watakavyo nirudishia ili nivipate. Kipakatalishi ninajua washauza lakini hard drive na stakadhi nyingine zingerudi, ingekuwa heri kwao, la sivyo, watayatafakari.” Mdoe threatened.
