Relatives are crying out to government to help them get justice for their daughter who was discovered dead in her marital house.
Paul Musisi, husband to the late woman is a son to Mukiibi Muzanganda, one of the richest tycoons in Mukono Town.
He was was arrested and detained at Mukono police station to help in investigations into the mysterious death of his wife Shadia Nangoobi who was found dead in their child’s bedroom.
Police led by ASP Isaac Mugera in charge of Criminal Investigations in Mukono led the handcuffed suspect back to his home to collect more information to help in the case.
Among the items recovered at the scene included broken mirrors and flat irons which were taken as exhibits.
Mathias, an uncle to the suspect, revealed that the deceased’s family ambushed her vigil at around 5 AM and forcefully took the corpse to their ancestral home for burial.

According to the relatives of the deceased, also residents of Masese, Jinja District, they got to know about a plot to have Paul released from prison on bail.
“They told me the parents of the suspect were taking Ugx. 20 million to help release their son but I’m still trusting that the law is still functional and justice will prevail,” they said.
Karim Nsaadha, father to the deceased believes his daughter was choked to death and even had some of her body parts missing.

He accuses the deceased’s grandfather, Isa Buyoga for forcing his daughter into the hands of the people who took her life through forced marriage.
He also points at the mother of the suspect who he claimed tried to bribe him with money and a cow to let them take the corpse and bury it.
Further, he recalls when they forcefully took the body wrapped in traditional attires with shrine items around it, something that convinced him that they had sacrificed his child.

“They first locked the door because they didn’t want us to see what they had done with the body. We forcefully entered but found herbs around her body yet she is a Muslim.
“ They had cut out her tongue, beaten her on the head and she was missing her private parts. They sacrificed my child,” he said.
The bereaved family through their lawyers revealed that they were ready to fight until justice is served because hospital reports confirmed that the deceased had been murdered.

Kampala Metropolitan police deputy spokesperson Luke Owoyesigyire revealed that the suspect had not been charged but investigations into the matter were underway.
Muzanganda, in a phone call interview was asked about the ongoing investigations involving his son but denied having any idea about the case.
“I’m currently on my sickbed and I have no idea about what is happening,” he said.
