Student Dies Mysteriously Inside Church
Pupil Die By Suicide After Being Detained In School Over Fee Balance
A student who just completed his senior four leavers examination was discovered dead inside a church.
The deceased identified as Muwanguzi Ivan, a former student at Destiny Eagles SS was found dead inside Open Gates Christian Church in Makindye, Kampala.
It is said that the mother of the deceased is part of the pastoral team and married to the lead pastor, Richard Kazibwe who is the step father of the deceased.
According to the deceased’s sister, she last saw the brother the night before after school and he was perfectly fine.
“He even attended the service and by the time we had supper, he was okay. He did not complain of anything or pain,” She said.
It is said that the deceased’s stepfather also the lead pastor woke up the family for prayers when he found Muwanguzi dead.
According to the relatives of the mother, she was not aware about her son’s passing because she has been in and out of the mental hospital Butabika because of the mental illness.
The pastors from other churches in the area led by John Bosco Kavuma visited their fellow pastor to convey their condolences for the incident.
Katwe Police arrived at the scene and took the body to the mortuary for postmortem.
