Police Dig Out Two Bodies Of Individuals Murdered By Serial Killer
Police in Kasese district has dug out dead bodies of two individuals said to have been killed and buried by convicted murderer Kasulenge Muhindo Jackson.
Muhindo who is currently on remand in Mobuku government prison was arrested in September on murder charges of the two individuals including his former wife Mary Shamim Biira and her sister Kabutusi Muhanga. He first denied the allegations but when he was brought back to court this month, he confessed to the murders and directed the police to the shallow graves where he buried them in Kamugobe village.
Police detectives together with the police director health services Moses Byaruhanga dug out the bodies. Mary was discovered first buried in the hills while Kabutusi was found in the banana plantation with a rope around her neck.
“Mary may have been buried in January this year and Kabutusi may have been buried in July this same year by the same person,” Julius Mukeri, LCIII chairperson Kisinga village said.
Mr. Byaruhanga revealed that the dead bodies would help them in their investigations.
“There is a lot of evidence collaborating what the suspect told them. The police and the investigating team all saw it. All this will come up in the reports we are going to issue next week. These are straight forward cases,” he said.
According to Mukeri, there was an issue of domestic violence after the man suspected his wife to have gone with another man.
“As he was talking to the wife, she couldn’t tell him who the new man was. He later found out that it was his brother who he also killed after some time,” he said.
