Widow Arrested In Connection To Husband’s Murder
Police in Ssembabule district have arrested a woman over allegations that she was part of the plot that saw her husband murdered.
The deceased Kasita Daniel, a resident of Kyamugagga was attacked by unknown goons in the middle of the night who hit him with an axe, cut his face into pieces and ran away with the money he had kept in his house.

According to his brother John Bosco Bukenya who also acts as the LC1 chairperson, he got the news about the gruesome attack and rushed to the scene. He found his brother covered with the blanket lying in a pool of blood.
“I got a stick which I used to open blanket and saw his whole face chopped. He was still alive when I asked him what else they had taken and he said money. Besides him was a weapon that was used during the attack,” he said.
The sub-county chairperson revealed that Kasiita’s murder must have been a plot between people who wanted him gone because the assailants didn’t move with any weapons.
“All the things that were used were from his home including the rope, axe and everything else,” he used.

Kasiita’s death prompted residents to call for the arrest of his wife who they said was in the house during the attack but was never harmed.
“The wife was unhurt and she says the man was dragged and killed from outside but we found him lying on bed naked and abandoned. The woman is guilty and knows something about the incident,” CID of Ssembabule, Lukwago Abdul Karim said, also urging any person with information relevant to the case to come forward.
The widow together with one other resident were taken into custody to answer questions relating to the murder.
