Goons Break Into Prison, Steal Four Guns

Uganda police is investigating circumstances under which a group of unknown assailants raided a prison in Tirinyi District and stole four guns.

 

The gang is said to have broken into the prison located on Mbale-Iganga Road but police working together with a group of residents put up a chase and were able to recover the guns.

The Residential District Commissioner (RDC) for Kibuku District Musiho Samuel revealed that the authorities trailed the gang and retrieved three guns which were hidden behind a Tirinyi Church Of Uganda and the fourth one was recovered on Pallisa Road.

 

“We have so far arrested two suspects connected to the robbery and we have them under police custody at Kibuku police. We are still tracking down the overall leader of the gang” he said.
