Woman Discovered Unconscious After Dragging Husband To Police
Panic engulfed residents of Buikwe District after a new mother was discovered unconscious by the roadside shortly after dragging her husband and father of her new born child to police over neglect.
The incident happened at Kiyindi Landing Site after a woman identified as Melissa made claims at the area police station that her husband Kalumba Musa abandoned their home and his duties as the head of the home and a father.
In order to settle the issue at the station, Kalumba is said to have given Melissa Ugsh. 50,000 as part of the agreed settlement, something she did not agree with. She is said to have stormed out the station only to be discovered moments later by the roadside unconscious and in critical condition.
Fast responders informed the police who rushed her to hospital for treatment and also discover the cause of the situation.
Speaking before the media, Ssezzibwa regional police spokesperson, Butoto Hellen revealed that an investigation had been opened to rule out possible foul play.
