Lionel Messi Apologises To PSG
PSG forward Lionel Messi apologized yesterday after his trip to Saudi Arabia, which led to his suspension.
Last weekend, PSG lost at home to Lorient on Sunday, and thus their Monday off day was cancelled.
Lionel Messi however made a trip to Saudi Arabia only to discover the off day was cancelled.
After learning about the trip, PSG released a statement announcing that Argentina superstar Lionel Messi would be suspended for two weeks without pay and would not be allowed to attend training with the rest of the group.
Through his Instagram page, Lionel Messi issued an apology about the whole incident.
“I thought we were going to have a day off after the game as always. I had this trip organized, and I couldn’t cancel it. I had already canceled it before,” Messi continued.
“I apologize to my teammates, and I’m waiting to see what the club wants to do with me.” He said.
PSG will travel to Troyes tomorrow night, and they will miss Lionel Messi’s services.
