Napoli Move Closer To Seria A Title After Edging Out Juventus In Turin

Napoli Juventus

Seria  League leaders Napoli moved closer to winning the league title as they defeated Juventus 1-0 on Sunday evening.

After Juventus were awarded back their 15 points, it served as hope for Juventus to turn around their season. It was a game with few chances for both sides.

After some breathtaking interplay around the penalty box in the 70th minute, Napoli came close to taking the lead. Victor Osimhen would eventually strike after some rapid passing between Piotr Zielinski, Elif Elmas, and himself from 15 yards out with a low shot off the foot of the post.

For Juventus, Angel Di Maria believed he had secured all three points. The World Cup winner raced into the box as Manuel Locatelli quickly passed the ball over to him, but a thorough VAR review resulted in the goal being ruled out due to a foul committed by Arkadiusz Milk in the lead-up.

Giacomo Raspadori scored an essential late winner for Napoli in extra time at the end of the game, putting them just two games away from winning their first Scudetto since 1990.
