Four Men To Serve 30 Years Jail Sentence Over Gang Rape and Armed Robbery
Four men found guilty of gang rape and armed robbery have been sentenced to 30 years imprisonment by the Kakamega Court.
David Nyongesa, Charles Abonyo, Nelson Ravasa and Davis Kamadi are said to have raped and robbed valuables worth Ksh146,075 from a lady in 2019 at the Kenya Power Area, an outskirt of Kakamega town.
The four appeared before Senior Magistrate of Kakamega Court Dolphina Alego who delivered the sentence on Thursday April 13, 2023.
The magistrate said the convicts will serve 30 years for each of the three charges; rape, robbery with violence.
Apparently, another suspect, Patrick Okinda, also linked to the crime was acquitted and released after his DNA results didn’t match that of the victim and the four convicted men.
