Seven Killed In A Grisly Lorry Accident In Migori Town

At least seven people have been killed in Migori town after a driver of a truck lost control and rammed into motorbikes and vehicles on Saturday morning.

The driver lost control of the lorry on the Migori – Isebania road and, according to eyewitnesses, started hooting, at Chamkombe area signaling brake failure before knocking several people in the busy town, leaving three in critical condition.

Witnesses said that two people were knocked down at River Migori, with efforts to save them still proving futile as the river is currently inaccessible.

Residents have also blasted Migori County government over what they termed as poor management of parking space within the town, saying the road is narrow and needs a proper structure to curb such incidences in the future.

Several other boda boda operators were also trapped in the  wreckage.
