“Infact, your honour, because it was April Fools Day, I thought someone was pulling a prank on me” he argued.
Michael was amongst the five suspects who were arraigned before Siaya Magistrate Margaret Wambani on Monday, to face charges of malicious damage to private property.
Others suspects are Phelix Omondi, Elly Wambani, Julius Odiaga and Godwin Omollo Ochieng.
All the five suspects represented by their Lawyer Leonard Okanda denied the charges raised against them.
Further, their lawyer asked for the court to release them on lenient bail raising a claim that they come from humble backgrounds.
“Pending trial, I pray that my five clients will be released on reasonable bond or cash bail. As you can see, they are the real hustlers and cannot afford heavy cash bails or bonds. They live from hand to mouth,” Okanda pleaded.
The DCI in a statement claimed the Five suspects were part of 1000 gang who invaded the property and vandalised it last week during the Azimio Protests.
