Sammie Manini: I Am Not Gay And I will Never Be Gay
Following last week’s rulling over LGBTQ community rights in Uganda, one sensational tiktoker by name Sammie Manini has got himself in the rough hands of Ugandans on Twitter (UoT) after his video clip leaked admitting he’s a gay.
Real name Samuel Abaho, the social media influencer and tiktoker has for a long while been an anti-LGBTQ activist but UoT have claimed he’s a cheat and a pretender.
One Twitter user The Ignite, on Weekend leaked Sammie Manini’s video clip and shared on Twitter where Manini had done an interview with a Germany based media house, DW.
In the feature documentary, Manini is seen approaching a client in the street where he wins his heart and go for massaging in his house.

However, following Twitter trolls, Manini has gone to Twitter and shed of the air to the public claiming he is neither a gay nor a member of LGBTQ community.
He has said the documentary done in 2016 was prompted by his devastated life where he accepted to act as an LGBTQ member in return for payment and visa travel to Germany.
Moreover, Manini has claimed following the feature, Ugandan police later arrested him and put him in custody making his family members disassociate with him but few relatives came for his aid and bailed him out.
” FINAL CLARIFICATION AND APOLOGY. 1/4… In 2016, I was approached by this lady Journalist who works with DW TV,a German-based TV and requested to act and be recorded in a documentary upon several promises & I was paid to act whatever you saw in the video. She went ahead and voiced it without my knowledge.
” I regrettably admit that I was paid to be recorded saying whatever I said though it wasn’t real. I only did this for money because of the unfavorable financial conditions I was in at the time.
” I want to request all of you to forgive me about homophobic statements recently published here & I am going to make sure such mistakes don’t happen again. Lastly I gave up on those illegitimate ways of getting money & I AM NOT GAY, I HAVE NEVER BEEN GAY & I DON’T INTEND TO BE GAY.
“And my advice to anyone out there trying to look for VISAS in an inappropriate manner like I did when I was promised a better life in Germany,Please stay away from it as there is always a regrettable end. Thank you all. Don’t fall a victim to their tricks like I did” Manini discloses.
Currently, when a person is found to be a member of LGBTQ community in Uganda is jailed for a period not less than 20 years.
