Kwa mujibu wa Kamanda wa Polisi Mkoa wa Mbeya na Kamishna Msaidizi wa Polisi ACP, Benjamin Kuzaga, tukio hilo lilitokea Februari 23, 2023 majira ya saa 7:00 mchana ambapo Regina alimnyonga shingo mwanae akiwa amelala.
“Chanzo cha tukio hili inasadikika mtuhumiwa kuwa na tatizo la afya ya akili ambapo alikuwa akihudhuria matibabu ya afya katika Hospitali ya Rufaa ya Kanda Mbeya (MZRH) tayari uchunguzi wa tukio hili unaendelea na mtuhumiwa atafikishwa mahakamani baada ya upelelezi kukamilika,” amesema Kamanda Kuzaga.
