Micheal Olunga’s Al Duhail Exit Asian Cup After Humiliating 7-0 Defeat

Nigeria international Odion Ighalo scored four goals  for Al Hilal in a 7-0  humiliation of Micheal Olunga’s Al Duhaill to reach the final of  AFC Champions League final.

 

 

“For people watching the score must have been a surprise. We pushed from the first minute and got a goal and the goals just kept coming so I am very happy. We know they are a good team and the plan was to keep pressing them high from the first minute.”said Ighalo.

 

 

 Al Hilal of Saudi Arabia  are the defending champion of Asian Cup and will meet Japan’s Urawa Red Diamond.

Mali attacker Moussa Merega also scored two goals with the other goal coming from Saudi forward Salem Al Dawsari

 

After the embarrassing defeat, Harambee stars Captain Micheal Olunga registered his displeasure with the result but remained focused for the future.
”Tough one to take.Wanted to go to the final but this was not our day. Still proud of this far Alduhail has come and achieving a semifinal spot for the first time in the history of the club. Build from there and focus on upcoming fixture” said Olunga

The two-match final will be played on April 29 and May 6. Al Hilal beat Urawa when they last met in the final in 2019.
