Political Party Registrar Ratify Decision To Kick Out Kioni,Team

The Office of the Registrar of Political Parties (ORPP) has ratified the Jubilee Party National Executive Committee (NEC) changes that kicked out Jeremiah kioni as the party’s Secretary General.

 

 

Others who have been shown door is national vice chairperson David Murathe and national Treasurer Kagwe Gichohi.

 

 

The Registrar of Political Parties Ann Nderitu said the changes Kioni team suspended were procedural and within the political parties act.

 

“The Office has taken note of the contents of your submissions and the resolutions and acknowledges that the Party Constitution was in order in convening the meeting,” Nderitu said.

 

 

In the NEC meeting held on February 2, 2023, at a Nakuru Hotel appointed Eldas MP Adan Keynan as the acting Vice Chairperson, EALA MP Kanini Kega as the acting Secretary General, and Kitui Woman Representative Rachael Nyamai as the National Treasurer.

 

 

Nderitu meanwhile asked the new officials to observe the Azimio agreement in exiting the alliance.

 

 

“Kindly observe the provisions of the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Alliance coalition agreement and the role of respecting party organs,” she said.

 

Jubilee party Dispute Resolution Mechanism is set to formally start their formal removal of the trio from the party.

 

Nderitu however asked the party “to adhere to the provisions of the party Constitution as you undertake the said process”.

 

 

The new NEC officials had announced that within the next six months, the party’s National Delegates Convention (NDC) will ratify their decision by the National Executive Committee to exit the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya coalition
