Mbaruk Mwalimu Celebrates Second Wedding Anniversary
Radio Presenter Mbaruk Mwalimu today marks his second wedding Anniversary with wife Hadiya Mwasiwa.
The duo who currently work as Journalists at the Standard Group Limited, walked down the aisle on 13th February 2021 in a colourful and splendid event held in Ukunda, Kwale County. Gracing the occasion were several known personalities, among them his colleague Billy Miya, legendary broadcaster Badi Muhsin and Former Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala.
In their two year old marriage, the celebrated journalists are blessed with one son Muhsin.
Taking to his Facebook account, Mbaruk celebrated his better half as they mark this second anniversary.
“Two years ago today, I married my better half, my friend and the mother to my handsome son. Happy anniversary to us,”he wrote
Mbaruk narrated meeting Hadiya in Nairobi at 3am in 2020, in an apartment that they lived in.
“I was from an event and she had woken up for Fajr prayers. I was struck and moved by how devout she was. So I sought to find more about her. It’s when we started talking that we found more about each other, including that we were industry peers. I had no idea Hadiya lived there neither had she also seen nor heard about me before,” he revealed.
“The first night we met, she was in full Islamic dress; I didn’t even see her face, but I knew I was in love. It was love at first sight. She’s a complete package; I saw a rare breed – there is none like in the entire world, let alone Nairobi. She is a loving, educated (BSc – Moi University) and devout Muslim. Couldn’t have asked for more.”
With every talk since he met his wife, Mbaruk is undoubtedly a proud man for having Hadiya in his life.
