A Kenyan Detained In DRC Over Church Bombing

A Kenyan suspected to be an Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) member, Ugandan terrorist group, has been held by Congolese authority over a Sunday attack in a Church in North Kivu, that left at least 10 people dead.
Abdirizak Muktar Garad, resident of Wajir County suspected to be the mastermind behind the attack that left at least 39 injured according to provisional figures by Armed Forces of the Democratic Republic of Congo (FARDC), was arrested yesterday on Sunday after thorough investigation.
However, after the arrest, the Congolese authority by the aid of Kenya’s Anti-Terrorism Police Unit (ATPU); a 29-year-old Abdirizak Muktar Garad, from Wajir County, Northern Kenya, was identified on Monday.
The attack which had not been linked to any terrorist group, Congolese Military associated it with ADF a Ugandan terrorist group based in Eastern DR Congo that for the past has attacked villages and launched attacks in urban areas in Uganda.
ADF, the terror group is suspected to have placed the improvised explosive device (IED) at the Protestant church during its Sunday morning service that later led to life claims.
Feeling the pain of the attack, Congolese president Felix Tshisekedi has promised civilians that perpetrators will be prosecuted and severely punished.
The army on its side, has advised netizens to avoid gatherings and be vigilant as investigations continue to be roughed and security tightened
