A Greek woman filed for divorce after ChatGPT read her husband’s coffee cup and informed her that he was cheating on her.

According to the Greek City Times, the woman took a tasseography test, a fortune-telling method that interprets patterns in tea leaves, coffee grounds, or wine sediments, and ChatGPT claimed her husband had an affair with another woman.

It’s reported that the woman took pictures of the remains of coffee from her husband’s coffee cup and asked ChatGPT to predict his affair.

The Greek media outlet reported that the AI chatbot told her that her husband had an affair with a woman he had kept secret, and her name started with the letter ‘E’, and she was on the verge of destroying her marriage.

The woman was hurt after she read the tasseography test and told her husband and children that they were separating. Although the husband thought it was a joke, three days later, he was served with a divorce notice from her lawyer.

I laughed it off as nonsense,” the husband said. “But she took it seriously. She asked me to leave, told our kids we were getting divorced, and then I got a call from a lawyer. That’s when I realised this wasn’t just a phase.” He narrated.

The husband’s lawyer weighed in on the matter and found it unsubstantial, claiming ChatGPT reports have no legal standing and emphasised that the husband is  “innocent until proven otherwise.

However, the husband also noted that she’s often into trendy things,” and always believes what she discovers from her research tests.
