Dr. Ofweneke Hilariously Recounts How His Career Changed After Meeting Jalang’o
Dr. Ofweneke(R) said that his brand is currently among the best brands in Kenya/ courtesy.
Sande Bush, popularly known as Dr. Ofweneke, shared his hilarious encounter with lawmaker Phelix Odiwuor( Jalang’o), which changed his life career.
Speaking on his Radio 47 show, the presenter revealed that in his early comedy life, he wanted to be like Jalang’o, then a show comedian at Kiss FM.
In their first meetup, Dr. Ofweneke expressed himself, exchanged numbers, and Jalang’o told him to meet the following day at Radio Africa Group in Nairobi.

“Mara yangu ya kwanza kukutana na Jalang’o, niliuza sera Nikamwambia ‘ninataka kuwa comedian kama wewe, wasee husema mimi huwa mfunny.’ Akaniambia tukutane Radio Africa Group.” He narrated.
“By 6am mimi mtoto wa Sande hata sijui kuvaa. Nimevaa loffers za White, socks za white, trouser ya black na shirt ya pink. Nakaa Michael Jackson mwenye amechanganyikiwa. Ni gloves sikuwa nazo, and I was there by 6 am.” He added, recounting that after he arrived, the secretary and security guard barred him from meeting Jalang’o until 10 AM.
“Ndugu yangu Jalas akatoka nikakimbia mbio nikamwambia bro uliniambia tukutane. Akaniambia fanya hivi, tukutane KNT. Nikafikiria Jalang’o atafungua mlango anibebe. No! Aliniambia tukutane KNT.

“Kufika KNT, nilijua kesho yake niko kazi. Jalang’o alinishika mkono akanipeleka kwa notice board ya KTN, akaniambia angalia hapa, hapa nipo nilianzia. Tafuta auditions na uanze kuchapa kazi. Jalang’o akaniacha hapo.” Dr. Ofweneke recounted.
The radio and TV host admitted that after the KNT moment at the hands of Jalang’o, he went and worked hard until he’s among the top five admirable brands currently in Kenya.
“Ladies and gentlemen, 16 years down the line, Dr. Ofweneke is one of the biggest brands in this country. Si ku give up. Na story zangu za kuto-give up ni nyingi sana.“He added.
